OLD Media Moves

SNEWS is now the Outside Business Journal

Trade publication SNEWS has been renamed the Outside Business Journal by parent company Outside Inc.

A BizWest story states, “For almost four decades, SNEWS has reported on the outdoor industry, which will continue under the new name, according to a news release from Outside.

“The rebrand includes a new website with advanced digital platforms, a new podcast, and new social media handles. The Voice, the bi-annual print magazine begun by SNEWS in early 2019, is also rebranding to Outside Business Journal.

“The name changes come on the heels of the February rebranding of Pocket Outdoor Media to Outside Inc. when it purchased Outside magazine, Outside TV and other publications. Pocket also bought three divisions of Active Interest Media in August 2020, Big Stone Publishing in October 2020 and FinisherPix sports photography company in November.”
