Slate has appointed Jordan Weissmann as a senior editor, focusing on policy, politics, and economics. In his new role, he will continue to write for the site as well.
Recently, Weissmann was a senior business and economics correspondent at Slate. Before that, he was an economics blogger and editor for The Atlantic. He has also reported for The National Law Journal.
Weissmann has also interned at The Washington Post, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Cape Times, and The Birmingham News.
Weissmann is a graduate of Northwestern University.
