Skift, which covers the travel, restaurant and wellness industries, has hired Danni Santana to cover the restaurant business.
“I am now excited to join the Skift Table team, and cover restaurants and chains full time because it is an industry I have followed closely from a consumer point of view for a few years now,” said Santana. “I also get to bring my B2B journalism experience and apply it to this rapidly changing industry.”
Santana was previously associate editor of Digital Insurance, formerly Insurance Networking News. He covered the technology strategies of insurance companies around artificial intelligence, big data and more.
He also oversaw the publication’s social media accounts, and was the point person for its content management system.
Santana also interned at ALM Media and Crain’s New York Business. He holds a master’s degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
