Madhu Unnikrishnan has been hired by Skift as the new editor of Airline Weekly.
Skift acquired Airline Weekly, including its subscription-based newsletter, for an undisclosed amount in September. Airline Weekly launched in 2004.
For the past year, Unnikrishnan has worked in corporate communication for United Airlines.
He previously was managing editor and editor in chief of Aviation Daily and business editor and senior editor of Aviation Week from December 2008 to March 2013. He also worked in media relations for Virgin Airlines.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
