Jon Silver has been hired as the Puget Sound Business Journal managing editor.
He previously has been the managing editor of the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce for the past 15 months.
Silver joined the Daily Journal of Commerce in 2000 after working at The Reader newsweekly in Omaha, Nebraska. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in history. He has also been a general assignment reporter and photographer at the Daily Journal of Commerce, and edited special sections.
Silver covered big projects for the Journal of Commerce — from expanding the convention center and renovating the Seattle Center arena. He also wrote about the robot that installed new windows on the Space Needle and the closure of Bakeman’s, the beloved sandwich shop in Pioneer Square.
