The Silicon Valley Business Journal, which was the American City Business Journals newspaper that was the first to be redesigned, reported on the results of its changes.
Publisher James MacGregor writes, “We also took on a new name and a made a commitment to cover the two industries that drive the Silicon Valley economy — technology and real estate — better than anyone else.
“Now that we have a year of data to look at, I’m pleased to report the following results:
• Paid circulation increased by almost 3 percent
• Visits to our website increased by almost 30 percent
• Our TechFlash newsletter, which we launched in late January, is now our No. 1 email news product in terms of subscriptions
“Meanwhile, our event business remains as strong as ever because no one else connects business people like we do. In Silicon Valley, your personal network matters.”
