Editor in chief J. Jennings Moss writes, “Another change in the editing ranks of the Business Journal is the promotion of Ryan Fernandez to become assistant managing editor. Fernandez has worked for the SVBJ as an associate editor since 2013, tackling various writing and editing assignments for both print and online.
“Fernandez, who was promoted at the start of the year, is managing the production of the weekly print edition as well as SVBJ special sections. Those duties were most recently held by Lynn Peithman Stock, who left the Business Journal in late November to become narrative assigning editor of iPondr, a new digital publication focused on telling underreported topics.
“One final piece of Business Journal news to report: Veteran reporter Jody Meacham is retiring. Here’s his final cover story, a look at the financial challenges the city of San Jose faces because of Covid-19.”
