Silicon Valley Biz Journal names two AMEs, hires real estate reporter

SIlicon Valley Business Journal 2SIlicon Valley Business Journal 2The Silicon Valley Business Journal has named two assistant managing editors and hired a commercial real estate reporter.

Lynn Peithman Stock has been named assistant managing editor for print and special projects. She has been with the publication since 2014, first as special projects editor. She previously was executive editor of Go Riverwalk magazine in Fort Lauderdale.

Marlize van Romburgh has been named assistant managing editor for digital. Previously, she held editing positions at the San Francisco Business Times and was a reporter in Southern California covering banking and commercial real estate. Most recently, she worked at a web development agency that builds online tools and platforms for publishers.

Van Romburgh also worked at the Pacific Coast Business Times, where she was managing editor.

Janice Bitters has joined the Silicon Valley Business Journal as the commercial real estate Reporter. She was previously a freelance writer for the Star Tribune in Minnesota and the regional planning and transit reporter at Minneapolis-based Finance and Commerce.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
