The Silicon Valley Business Journal has promoted Marlize van Romburgh to managing editor and Lynn Peithman Stock to deputy managing editor.
A story on its website states, “Previously, both held the title of assistant managing editor, with Van Romburgh overseeing the online product and the daily news gathering operation and Stock handling the weekly print publication and special sections. They’ll continue to split their duties along those lines, while assuming additional responsibilities, said J. Jennings Moss, SVBJ editor-in-chief and general manager.
“‘Every editorial operation is a team endeavor, and I’m honored to work with such incredible teammates as Marlize and Lynn,’ Moss said. ‘These promotions reflect their tremendous talent and dedication to providing real business intelligence to our readers, as well as our goal to strengthen the core mission of covering Silicon Valley business news honestly and aggressively.’
“Van Romburgh, who joined the SVBJ early in 2017, previously worked for sister publication San Francisco Business Times and got her professional start at the Pacific Coast Business Times in Santa Barbara.”
