Sheridan promoted to tech editor at Bloomberg Businessweek

Barrett Sheridan, who has worked as an associate editor at Bloomberg Businessweek for the past 13 months, has been promoted to tech editor at the business weekly.

He joined the magazine from Newsweek, where, even though his title was staff writer, he edited the technology and InternationaList pages. He worked at Newsweek for four years and nine months.

After graduating Stanford in 2006 with a degree in economics, Barrett began his career at the World Bank, where he was plucked by Fareed Zakaria to be a research assistant on his 2008 book “The Post-American World” before transitioning to Newsweek’s web site and ultimately the magazine.

Sheridan also worked as an intern in Sen. Diane Feinstein’s office.
