Jon Shazar has been named editor of Dealbreaker, a business news site that covers Wall Street gossip.
He replaces Thornton McEnery, who is leaving for a job covering Wall Street at the New York Post.
Shazar has been a contributing editor to Dealbreaker since November 2016 after freelancing for the site for four years. He has also been a contributor to sister blogs Above the Law and MedCityNews, authoring advertiser-sponsored posts, interviews and other pieces covering both the legal and life sciences industries.
He previously worked as managing editor of FINalternatives and for Institutional Investor News.
McEnery’s last day at Dealbreaker was Wednesday.
