Sophia Kunthara of the Connecticut Post has been hired by the San Francisco Chronicle as a business reporter.
She will start later this month.
For the past year, Kunthara has been a Hearst Journalism Fellow covering Trumbull and Monroe for the Connecticut Post and Hearst Connecticut Media Group.
She interned for Reuters covering the economy and markets in New York, as well as for The Arizona Republic, the state’s largest newspaper, and NBC Los Angeles
Kunthara holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Arizona State University. While there, she was executive editor of The Downtown Devil, which covers downtown Phoenix.
