Andrea Spiegel, the senior vice president of product development and video at Forbes, is leaving the business news organization.
In an email to the staff, Spiegel writes:
Hi all –
After 8 years and approximately 160,000 miles on Amtrak, I have decided to leave Forbes and shift the balance, to stay put for a while in northern Virginia and focus on my family. #priorities
The journey from True/Slant to Forbes has been the most challenging and rewarding of my career so far. It started with Lewis and Coates, lunch at Tarallucci, a blank whiteboard…and early believer Tim Forbes. Along the way there’s been tremendous support from Mike Perlis, Mark Howard, Lewis (of course) and all of you. I am extremely proud of the work we’ve done to transform and revolutionize Forbes, and will be cheering you on as you continue the effort.
Spielgel also spent nearly 10 years at Fox Television and eight-and-a-half years at AOL as a vice president.
