The Seattle Times has cut its standalone business section, writes Andrea James of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
The San Francisco Chronicle has cut its standalone business section on Mondays and Tuesdays.
James writes, “The Seattle P-I is considering which sections to merge.
“‘Like many newspapers across the country, we’re consolidating sections in order to save on production costs,’ Times Executive Editor David Boardman said Monday in a front-page memo.
“In February, both newspapers will shrink by 1 inch in width. And last month, both papers raised their prices.”
