Bill Conroy, former editor of the San Antonio Business Journal, has been hired as managing editor for Seattle Business magazine.
Emma Franke of Seattle Business writes,Conroy served as editor in chief of the San Antonio Business Journal for 20 years. He most recently served as editor-in-chief of B2B magazine publisher Scotsman Guide Media. Conroy succeeds John Levesque, who held the post for eight years before retiring in January.
“Conroy’s career has taken him across the country, from Minnesota and Wisconsin to Arizona and Texas before landing in Seattle. ‘I’ve covered every major business beat, including real estate, energy, aerospace, finance, manufacturing, health care, technology, and more,’ Conroy says. ‘Business and the economy touch everything in our world. As a journalist, you couldn’t ask for a better palette from which to work.’
“At Seattle Business, Conroy is responsible for managing the execution of the monthly magazine, including writing and editing, pumping up the digital edition and executing social media strategy.”
