Schnick promoted to editor of Dallas Business Journal

Jeffrey Schnick, the managing editor of the Dallas Business Journal, has been promoted to editor of the American City Business Journals’ publication.

He replaces Paul O’Donnell, who left to become the business editor of the Dallas Morning News.

Previously, Schnick was a designer for the Knoxville (Tenn.) News Sentinel and the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel and assistant managing editor of the Abilene (Texas) Reporter News. He moved to the Dallas Morning News in 2007 as assistant business editor.

He moved to the Gannett Design Studio in Nashville, Tenn., in 2012 but returned to Dallas shortly thereafter as assistant business editor.

Schnick has been with the Dallas Business Journal for the past year.  He came aboard in November 2014 when O’Donnell recruited him from the Morning News.
