Sarasota paper runs outdated stock price info

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune ran incorrect stock price information on Tuesday, according to reader representative Barbara Peters Smith.

She wrote, “Because of an error during a weekend testing procedure, the stock listings in today’s Herald-Tribune were from Friday, not Monday.

“Readers calling the Reader Advocate alerted the newsroom to the problem early, and the cause was found: Older stock listings had not been automatically purged from the system, so the new data was blocked.

“The problem was fixed, and the stock listings in Wednesday’s paper will reflect today’s market activity.”
