Sarasota daily has new biz editor

Chris Wille, who has been the real estate editor of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, has added business editor to his responsibilities.

He replaces Terry Galvin, who left the Florida paper earlier this month.

Wille has been the paper’s real estate editor since September 2017. He previously was editorial page editor of the Bradenton Herald for a decade. Wille was also features editor of the Herald from January 2005 to September 2007.

Wille also worked at the Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Washington, for 16 years and for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for four years.

Galvin had been with the paper for 22 year.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
