I’m delighted to announce that Michael Santoli will be joining CNBC as senior markets commentator, effective October 26.
Mike is no stranger to CNBC and has been a frequent guest and guest host across the network’s Business Day programming. In his new role, he will bring his markets expertise to a number of programs, with a particular emphasis on Closing Bell. In addition, he will bring his trademark analysis and commentary to CNBC.com and CNBC PRO by writing regular articles and creating original digital videos.
There are few journalists in any medium that have Mike’s depth of experience covering the markets. For the past three years, Mike has been senior columnist at Yahoo Finance, writing regular pieces and appearing daily on its video shows. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Barron’s as a columnist and feature writer for the magazine. From 1993 to 1997, Mike was a reporter at Dow Jones Newswires, covering the securities industry.
Mike is a graduate of Wesleyan University.
Please join me in welcoming Mike to CNBC.
