Melissa Hartman, a reporter at the Santa Cruz Sentinel, will be leaving to join the San Francisco Examiner.
She was also a staff writer at Los Altos Town Crier in Los Altos, CA, and a general news reporter at Bay City News Service in San Jose, CA. She was also a freelance fact-checker at Diablo Magazine and an intern at Metro Newspapers in San Jose.
Hartman earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Jose State University.
