Sanicola hired by Insurance Insider

Laura Sanicola

Laura Sanicola has been hired as a reporter by Insurance Insider, a trade publication under Euromoney Institutional Investor.

She started on Monday and is based in New York although the publication is based in the UK.

Sanicola previously worked for CNNMoney as an associate writer for MoneyStream, its business news app.

Sanicola is a recent graduate of Fordham University where she studied international political economy and was the editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Fordham Ram. She  interned at ABC News’ investigative unit from January through April 2017.

She also was a Dow Jones News Fund business reporting intern at TheStreet. She has been published by CNBC.com, The New York Daily News, USA Today, InvestmentNews, Crain’s Wealth, TheStreet, and Yahoo Finance.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
