Brian Rinker, who covers technology, startups and innovation for the San Francisco Business Times, is leaving the newsroom.
His last day will be July 16. Rinker plans to freelance.
He has been at the Business Times since November 2019. Before joining SFBT, he was a freelance health reporter for Health Affairs and Kaiser Health News and had bylines in The Atlantic, ABC News, STAT, and Men’s Health.
Rinker holds master’s degrees in both public health and journalism from University of California, Berkeley.
He was a Pulliam Fellow at the Arizona Republic and holds a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University.
