San Fernando Valley Business Journal editor resigns

San Fernando Valley Business Journal editor Jason Schaff announced his resignation from the paper effective in January, according to a story by reporter Mark Madler.

Madler wrote, “A long-time Valley resident, Schaff brought a deep understanding of the region’s past and future challenges when he joined the paper in March 2003 after three years at the Los Angeles Business Journal where he served as deputy managing editor. He was previously an editor in the business section of the Daily News.

“At the Valley Business Journal, Schaff supervised an editorial staff of three reporters, a researcher and a production manager.

“Schaff said after four years at the Business Journal and 30 years in the newspaper business, it was the best time to move on and look for other opportunities.

“His time as editor has been fulfilling, he said.”
