The San Diego Business Journal has hired Elise Reuter to cover the startup community, software companies and Qualcomm.
She starts on Sept. 24.
Reuter has been working at the Kansas City Business Journal for the past two years, covering health care, life sciences and publicly traded technology companies. Her projects included profiles of cancer researchers, features on hospital development in the Kansas City market, and extensive coverage of the Sprint/T-Mobile merger.
She previously worked at the Summit Daily News in Frisco, Colorado, covering everything from business and nonprofits to municipal government.
Reuter is a University of Kansas graduate in journalism and French language and literature.
