Jessica Corso has been hired by the San Antonio Business Journal as an energy reporter.
She starts Jan. 7. Corso replaces Sergio Chapa, who left to cover energy for the Houston Chronicle.
Corso spent four years with the legal publication Law360, covering lawsuits filed by and against some of the largest corporations in the world. In her final position with the publication, she reported from the Chicago federal courthouse as the the senior reporter in the state of Illinois.
“I’m excited that the next chapter of my career will be with the San Antonio Business Journal, writing about what is perhaps Texas’ most iconic industry,” said Corso. “I’ve been impressed by the newsroom’s knowledge of the city and their willingness to share that knowledge with me. I’m looking forward to working alongside them.”
More recently, she spent some time teaching English in Vietnam and mastering the art of not falling off her motorbike. She’s a graduate of the University of New Mexico, where she majored in Latin American studies.
