Felix Salmon of Fusion, formerly with Reuters and Conde Nast Portfolio, spoke with Benzinga about the future of financial journalism.
Brianna Valleskey writes, “First and foremost, Salmon thinks those forecasting the death of the terminal businesses are deluding themselves.
“‘Having wrote for Thomson Reuters, knowing a lot of people who wrote for Bloomberg — Those are really, really magnificent, very large, very well-resourced businesses,’ he said. ‘They’re not going anywhere.’
“What Salmon said he’s really looking forward to is the increasing amount of information coming directly from professionals, themselves, rather than the journalists.”
