Sacramaneto Bee editor Melanie Sill writes Sunday about how business news coverage will be combined with other news into a new section called “Our Region” beginning next month in the paper.
Sill writes, “We’re not reducing it. In fact, we want to expand it with more news (print and online) and improvements in the Sunday business section.
“Our business reporters are covering the region’s biggest story, the economy, and we want their reports regularly on the front page, as they have been.
“So we’re keeping the coverage. But we’re moving the daily business report into a new section, called Our Region, that replaces the current Metro and Business sections.
“Some readers will reject this change out of hand. The new section will have to prove itself, and I’m confident it will.
“Business stories will join other local reports on the cover, and Business will claim several pages (including an updated stocks report) inside Our Region.”
