Rick Rodriguez, executive editor of the Sacramento Bee, asked the paper’s readers Saturday to let it know if it’s not publishing the stock listings they want in the wake of cutting those printed in the paper.
The cuts begin on Tuesday.
Rodrigue wrote, “But rest assured we also will remain flexible on what stocks we decide to print in the newspaper. If on Tuesday you review the paper’s listings and find that you want to follow a stock that isn’t printed, please call Business Editor Cathie Anderson at (916) 321-1957, e-mail her at canderson@sacbee.com or write her at The Sacramento Bee, P.O. Box 15779, Sacramento, CA 95852. We will try to publish the stocks you request at least on a weekly basis in Saturday’s paper or daily if possible.
“Many of the readers who have called in so far have been pleasantly surprised to find that their stocks are already slated to be published. So give us a chance, look over the listings and let us know which stocks you would like to see printed.
“What you’ll find in Tuesday’s stock report is a roundup of major indexes; the performance of stocks of local interest; and the biggest gainers and losers as well as the most volatile stocks. You’ll also find listings for more than 250 of the nation’s largest mutual funds and 300 of the most widely held stocks.”
Read more here. Expect Anderson to be answering a lot of phone calls on Tuesday.
