Daniel Kennedy, the only publisher in the 22-year history of the Sacramento Business Journal, will retire at year’s end, the newspaper announced Monday.
“In his 22 years at the helm of the Business Journal, Kennedy has been an authoritative voice on Sacramento’s business scene, spinning off business guides such as the Book of Lists, a guide to the most successful public and private companies in the Sacramento region, and hosting the Early Bird Economic Forecast, an annual consideration of the region’s economic future.
“‘He’s really entrenched in the community and passionate about editorial quality and good journalism. Many of us strive to emulate Dan Kennedy,’ said Mary Huss, publisher of the San Francisco Business Times.”
