The Society of American Business Editors and Writers will hold a teletraining conference call next week titled, “Now That It’s Passed: Covering the New Health Care Law.”
The call will be held on Wednesday, April 7, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time.
The call begin with a discussion among these panelists, followed by approximately 30 minutes of answering e-mailed questions. The panelists will include Len Nichols, professor of health policy and director of the Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics at George Mason University; Trudy Lieberman, formerly of Consumer Reports and director of the health and medicine reporting program at the Graduate School of Journalism at City University of New York, also president of the Association of Health Care Journalists’ board of directors; and Sara R. Collins, Ph.D, vice president for Affordable Health Insurance at the Commonwealth Fund, an economist whose responsibilities include directing the Fund’s national health insurance program; research and policy analysis; and survey development.
The call will be moderated by John Wasik, freelance writer, author of 13 books and working on a book about health care reform.
