SABEW to hold conference call Thursday on health care stories

June 24, 2009

The Society of American Business Editors and Writers will hold a conference call Thursday for business reporters to discuss potential health care stories.

The call will be at 3 p.m. EST.

The primary topic will be how potential health care reform currently being debated in Congress might affect businesses. Also discussed will be the cost implications of the three reform scenarios, who is lobbying lawmakers and how much money is being donated to whom, and the impact on the health care industry.

The panelists on the call will be Rachel Nuzum, senior policy director at the Commonwealth Fund; Sheila Krumholz, executive director of the Center for Responsible Politics; and Ralph Pollock, executive director of the Business Health Forum.

The panel will be moderated by Fawn Johnson at Dow Jones Newswires.

To participate and to learn how to ask questions, send an e-mail with “Yes” as the subject line to sabew@missouri.edu.
