Virginia Business senior editor Jessica Sabbath has been promoted to managing editor.
She succeeds Paula Squires, who recently retired.
Sabbath has been with the magazine since 2006 and previously also special projects editor for the magazine. She has won many awards from Alliance of Area Business Publications and the Virginia Press Association during her tenure with the magazine.
Before joining Virginia Business, she was a reporter for the Winchester Star newspaper in Virginia.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
