Stephen Ryan is the new London producer at “Marketplace Morning Report,” a global edition from BBC World Service.
Ryan has been with the BBC for more than 3 years, joining as studio, field producer and reporter for the World Service Business Program. Later on, he was promoted to the post of senior studio, field producer and reporter across World Service Business Programs and for the Marketplace Morning Report (APM).
Prior to joining the BBC, he worked as a broadcast journalist at Time 107.5 FM and Bauer Media Group – U.K. He has also served as a junior Trinity program manager at Trinity Laban and from August 2010 to December 2011, he was an online and radio producer, BBC World Service.
Ryan also spent more than 9 years working at RTE. He joined as a radio production coordinator. Later on, he held the post of series producer and then that of production coordinator and website team leader.
Additionally, he has also held the posts of radio trainer and development producer, and radio studio head at www.irishjourno.ie and Wired FM, respectively.
Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree in music and media and communications from Mary Immaculate College, Ireland, and his Master’s degree in multi-media journalism from Bournemouth University.
