Russolillo returning to Wall Street Journal

Steven Russolillo, a reporter for The Wall Street Journal who left a year ago for a position at Goldman Sachs, is returning to the paper.

Russolillo will be an “Ahead of the Tape” writer for the Journal’s “Heard on the Street” column. When he left, he was the lead writer for the Moneybeat blog.

For the past year, Russolillo has been a financial writer in Goldman Sachs’ asset management group, writing white papers and research reports. It’s not a public relations job.

He was markets reporter for The Journal and had worked in various roles for the Journal and Dow Jones Newswires since August 2007.

He’s a 2007 graduate of the University of Delaware and is getting his MBA at Baruch College in New York.
