Wall Street Journal business editor Dennis Berman sent out the following announcement on Wednesday:

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Rosenbush as the new editor of CIO Journal.

CIO Journal has been a hit with readers – largely, yes, CIOs and other top executives – who are eager to read anything that explains the tumultuous interplay between business and technology.

CIOJ and the other professional verticals are a key part of the Journal’s strategy to connect with specialized audiences. Steve is uniquely equipped to make this happen.

He has been deputy editor of CIO Journal since January 2012. He has worked as the telecommunications editor for BusinessWeek, and covered telecom for USA Today and the Star-Ledger of Newark. Steve also has deep finance knowledge, serving as assistant managing editor for capital markets at Institutional Investor magazine.

Steve lives in Brooklyn with his two children and wife Laura. He likes to pick country songs in his spare time and has a student recital coming up Dec. 7 at the Jalopy Theater in Red Hook.

Congratulations, Steve.
