Rochester Democrat and Chronicle veteran Ellen Rosen has joined the Rochester Business Alliance Inc. in the newly created position of vice president of marketing, communications and membership, according to a report by Rochester Business Journal reporter Tom Adams.
Rosen has been business editor at the Democrat and Chronicle since November 1999. Before that, she was an assistant metro editor. She joined the daily newspaper in 1981.

Rosen holds a bachelors degree in English from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. For the past 17 years, Rosen covered business, suburban government, transportation and family issues for Rochester’s daily newspaper. In addition to her editing duties, she “talks businessâ€? weekly on WXXI-TV’s “Need to Knowâ€? segment and was a frequent guest on WHAM-TV (Channel 13).
