Roanoke (Virginia) Times business reporter Casey Fabris is leaving the paper to join the Education Writers Association.
Fabris has been a business reporter at the paper for the past two years. She writes a weekly column highlighting retail openings, closures and expansions.
She previously spent more than four years covering Franklin County for the paper.
Fabris interned at the Chronicle of Higher Education and the Philadelphia Inquirer and is a Syracuse University graduate.
