Rivard to cover energy, environment and transportation for Politico

Ry Rivard

Ry Rivard will be joining Politico’s New Jersey team as a reporter covering energy, the environment and transportation.

He comes from the Adirondack Explorer where he was a reporter. Before that, he was an environmental reporter at Voice of San Diego. He was also a tech reporter and then a reporter at Inside Higher Ed.

He has also worked as a staff writer – education and as a Capitol bureau chief at the Charleston Daily Mail.

Rivard was also a city editor at The Daily Athenaeum and a freelance contributor at The Charleston Gazette.

Rivard is a graduate of West Virginia University.
