Richmond paper names new biz editor

The Richmond Times-Dispatch, a Media General paper, has named John Hoke as its business editor, according to a short story on its Web site.

The story states, “Hoke, 55, joined the Times-Dispatch in 1982 and has served in its Clarksville and Roanoke bureaus and as night Virginia editor, Sunday Virginia editor and deputy editor for Chesterfield County.

“In his new role, Hoke will oversee an award-winning team of eight reporters and editors.”

UPDATE: Talking Biz News is told by a Times-Dispatch staff member that Feibish was reassigned to deputy flair editor in January amid a reorganization and retired from the paper last month. Deputy business editors Marilyn Shaw and Greg Gilligan have been running the department since January.
