Richmond daily starting newsletter on local startup community

The Richmond Times-Dispatch is launching an email newsletter called Richmond Startup Spotlight every Sunday morning that will cover local startups and entrepreneurs.

A story on its website states, “The Richmond Times-Dispatch has been writing about this growing entrepreneurial ecosystem for years, from articles about some of these startup businesses and the funding that local angel investors provide to the challenges that the startup founders face.

“Now The Times-Dispatch is expanding coverage with Richmond Startup Spotlight e-newsletter every Sunday morning.

“The e-newsletter will feature stories about these new ventures and other issues in the startup community.

“There will be different rotating columns weekly providing advice on innovation and other issues.

“One new column, called Start by Starting, will be about how to initiate the entrepreneurship journey. It is written by Jay Markiewicz, an entrepreneur who is the executive director of entrepreneurship programs at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Business.”
