Richmond biz site hires new reporter

Aaron Kremer, the editor and founder of RichmondBizSense.com, a business news site in Richmond, Va., has hired another reporter for his staff.

Kremer writes, “Michael Schwartz joined RBS this week to cover banking, finance and general assignments. This is a huge step for us, as we’ve previously only been able to hire recent graduates with little experience. It will help immensely to round out the breadth of our reporting.

“Michael, who studied journalism at Old Dominion University, moved here from Hampton Roads, where he worked at the Virginian-Pilot and the weekly business newspaper Inside Business.

“While at Inside Business, Michael wrote several investigative series, including pieces on the demise of Waterside Capital and Geeks on Call.”
