The Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism updated its Web site on Tuesday with a new design and new features that are a definite upgrade from its older version.
The old site is available here, while the new site is available here. The new URL is http://bizjournalism.org, while the old URL was http://www.businessjournalism.org. The center also has a new slogan — “Cover Business Better”
The new site has a cleaner feel that gives more prominence to the center’s free training opportunities. And a new section of the site offers to help reporters with stories they’re working on and a live chat feature.
New contributors to the site are the Reynolds journalism professors at Washington & Lee, the University of Missouri and the University of Nevada-Reno.
What’s sorely missing from the site is some of its older content, such as the list of undergraduate and graduate programs from across the country that offer business journalism education. Instead, the section of the new site under “Academic Programs” simply includes what’s offered at Arizona State University, the home campus for the Reynolds Center.
Older advice columns are also gone from the new site.
