Reuters has named Alexander Ratz as a senior correspondent in Berlin.
Previously, he held the post of head of German language services. Before that, he was desk head for foreign and economic news.
He has also worked as a Brussels correspondent at The Associated Press.
Ratz is a M.A. in journalism from the University of Maryland at College Park.
