Reuters has appointed Riham Alkousaa as a correspondent on the Germany politics and general news team.
Previously, she was an editor on the speed desk.
Alkousaa joined Reuters in 2017 as an intern reporter. She has previously freelanced for outlets in Germany, including Al-Fanar Media and The Point Magazine. She has also worked freelance for Al Jazeera, USA Today and The Washington Times.
She has worked freelance and edited for various other outlets, including Syria Today Magazine, Haykal Media and more.
Alkousaa graduated from Columbia University.
