Andy Sullivan, who has been covering presidential campaign stories for Reuters, is leaving to a wide-ranging beat covering U.S. domestic policy for Reuters.
“That means less time listening to speeches in Iowa, more time looking at tax spreadsheets,” said Sullivan on Facebook. “I couldn’t be more thrilled.”
For the past two years, Sullivan has been lead reporter on the Money & Politics team, a venture that covers the intersection of money and politics in Washington.
Sullivan also has covered the 2011 budget wars in Congress, the 2008 presidential elections, and stories ranging from Hurricane Katrina to the Scooter Libby trial. He was a Loeb Award finalist for coverage of the then-nascent subprime housing crisis in 2007.
Sullivan is a native of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and holds degrees from Macalester College and Northwestern University.
