Stephen Kalin has joined The Wall Street Journal as its new Middle East correspondent covering Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries.
Recently, Kalin was with Reuters, which he joined in 2013 as a trainee. He then became Egypt correspondent at the company. Later on, he was made Iraq correspondent and most recently, he was Saudi chief correspondent at the organization.
Prior to joining Reuters, Kalin was a reporter at the Associated Press. He also served as an editorial assistant at “The Charlie Rose Show” and as a presidential intern at American University in Cairo. Kalin has also worked as a summer business analyst at JPMorgan Chase.
In addition, he also served as grant making intern at The Global Fund for Children.
Kalin holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international studies from Davidson College.
