In an email to the staff, Finkle writes:
I resigned yesterday to take a job running communications for a cybersecurity company.
I turned 50 in September, after spending more than 30 years in journalism, and decided in the subsequent months that this would be a good time to try something new.
It’s been a privilege to work at Reuters for these past 10 years. I am grateful for the friends I have made here. You have inspired me in many ways, pushing me to grow both professionally and personally.
I will continue to live in Medford, Massachusetts, and travel regularly to Orange County, California. Please stay in touch, particularly if you plan to visit the Boston area: jim@finkle.com.
