Reuters promotes Gallagher to breaking news correspondent

Christopher Gallagher

Reuters has tapped Christopher Gallagher as a breaking news correspondent in its Washington bureau.

Previously, he was a multimedia journalist, working in Tokyo for many years.

Gallagher has been with Reuters for 13 years, previously also serving as editor, breaking news. He has also worked as an assistant news editor at Dow Jones Newswires.

Gallagher graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
