Tom Lasseter will be taking on the role of enterprise editor for Reuters’ global finance and markets team.
In his new role, he will be reporting, writing and will also be leading investigative teams and editing initiative pieces.
He plans to move to Washington, DC this summer.
Previously, Lasseter was serving as special correspondent in Asia for the publication. Before that, he held the post of chief correspondent, enterprise, South Asia at the company.
Prior to joining Reuters, Lasseter was a reporter for projects and investigations at Bloomberg. Lasseter has also served first as Moscow bureau chief and then as Beijing bureau chief at McClatchy. In addition, he was also a reporter for Lexington Herald-Leader.
Lasseter received his degree from the University of Georgia.
