Reuters names French its M&A reporter for energy and financial services

Greg Roumeliotis, the editor in charge of M&A coverage at Reuters, sent out the following announcement on Tuesday:

I’m pleased to announce that David French has started in the deals team in New York this week as our new energy and financial services M&A reporter. David joins us from Dubai, where he most recently led the coverage of financial and company news in the Gulf for Reuters. Prior to this, David was a reporter for IFR, a Thomson Reuters capital markets publication, in London.

A former club captain of Queen Mary University Football Club, David enjoys playing and watching soccer in his spare time. Please welcome David as he gets accustomed to life in the Big Apple, where, from what he tells me, both the climate and the tax regime differ quite a bit from Dubai!
